Pro-Spect Professional Radon Measurement Services

  • NEHA/NRPP Certified Radon Measurement Providers. Every Pro-Spect radon measurement provider is fully certified and current by the National Environmental Health Association's (NEHA) National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP). Certified Radon Measurement Providers are trained to interpret radon test results and evaluate the readings against such factors as humidity, temperature, building pressures, etc. Non-certified individuals who conduct radon testing may not have a full understanding of radon science. Anyone can place a radon monitor in a home and print out the results. It takes a trained professional to know exactly where to place the monitor and how to properly interpret the results with regard to such influencing factors as weather, airflows, building science, etc.

  • AARST Membership. Every Pro-Spect radon mesaurement provider is a member in good standing of the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technications (AARST).

  • Continuous Radon Monitors. Pro-Spect Environmental uses Continuous Radon Monitors (CRMs) that are factor calibrated every 12 months. Results are available immediately upon completion of the test (no waiting for laboratory results). Because CRMs report readings hourly, unusually high measurements can be compared with weather and other activity occurring at the time of the test to determine if the radon levels have been influenced by external factors (i.e., heavy rain, high winds, etc). This type of detailed analysis is not possible with charcoal cannisters and do-it-yourself kits. All Pro-Spect CRMs are subjected to a strict quality assurance program to insure accuracy.
